Newsletter 4 - October New Moon
Another new moon is upon us, and this month we are plunged into the darkness of autumn at an increasing rate. Observing nature this season we are steeped in all the hallmarks of witchy season - spiderwebs, frogs, mushrooms, crows, misty mornings and wet forest floors covered in last seasons leaves, returning back to the earth from which they came. Autumn is represented by the metal element, and the purity of gold - perhaps seen best when the afternoon light illuminates the beautiful yellow and golden leaves still clinging to the sun. It is the season for laying down the weight we have been carrying, harvesting the benefits of our work, and reflecting on the year that is passing and the moment of change we are within.
In light of the season of reflections, here are some of our own inspired by our growing community:
Waypoint is blessed to have a core group of incredible students and patients who have been coming since we opened the doors. As we continue to grow we all feel energized by meeting new people as they become aware of our offerings and take their first steps into classes and/or treatments. It's wonderful to be building connections and a sense of community around all that Waypoint encompasses... healing, wellness, personal, and spiritual growth, living with in harmony with nature as well as physical fitness and martial arts. I’m so grateful to everyone that has come in to try classes, get acupuncture, try herbs, and to people doing all of those things in different combinations. It feels so good to see the synergy of people benefiting from all of these things independently and together because this is exactly why we wanted to create Waypoint Sanctuary. We even got a visit from the Jamestown Press recently, and as my hometown newspaper, I feel really humbled and touched to be featured. We continue to work to make Waypoint a true sanctuary that offers people what they are uniquely seeking. One student recently told me that they feel themselves start to relax simply by walking down the hallway toward the space, which tells me we’re on the way to that goal!
Thank you for your support and patronage, and as always I love to hear from all of you about your experiences, goals, and interests! You can e-mail directly, and also consider leaving a review on our Google Maps page to help guide others who might be considering coming in!
